Court Records

Recent court records for cases at Grafton County Court should be available in North Haverhill at the Courthouse.

All extant 19th century court files seem to have been moved to the State Archives at 71 South Fruit Street, Concord. Check with them for access.

Many civil cases involving land and money are indexed in the Grantor and Grantee indexes at the Grafton County Registry of Deeds (see “Land Records”). These records are mostly from the early part of the 19th century and are now at the State Archives. These records are filed by term and year, but have not been indexed by State Archives staff. Make notes from the Grantor/Grantee indexes in North Haverhill, and then visit the State Archives. Archives staff may have more current information.
