Atwater Kent was director of manufacture of motors and electrical products for Kendrick & Davis of Lebanon in 1900. Years later he became interested in the design and manufacture of radios, and his well known Atwater Kent Radios were among the earliest sold. (F-8)
1903
Rockland Military Academy moved to Lebanon in 1903 and consolidated with the New Hampshire Military Academy in the former Tilden Seminary building in West Lebanon. Military cadets were a familiar sight in Lebanon until the academy closed in 1914. (G-2)
1909
Since the Lebanon Social Library of 1802, there have been several libraries in the town, including the first free public library in the Soldiers’ Memorial Building in 1889. The present libraries in Lebanon and West Lebanon were dedicated in 1909. (F-1 & G-2)
